#vDM30in30 - Day 6 - Microsoft PowerShell and Cisco UCS - Powertool Install
Cisco UCS Manager can be managed via PowerShell via the Cisco UCS PowerTools. The most current version is 1.5.2 as of November 5, 2015. The software is available for download via the Cisco Communities site for UCS then found under UCS Integrations. The UCS capabilities are varied and can be strung together to do some pretty cool things such as:
Backup of UCS Configuration
Checking for new firmware
Modifying boot configurations
Change power states of blades
Installation is super straight forward.
Download the tool
Run the installer
Follow the prompts
The UCS Commandlets can be accessed either via the tool itself, or through the Windows PowerShell ISE.
